Background to Lesedi’s IECP
During 2007, following intensive internal strategic planning, Lesedi clearly articulated its core concern through introducing its “Integrated ECD Care Package” (IECP). Central to the IECP is the firm belief that “existing community ECD Centres and Community Playgroups are well-placed to provide valuable nodes of early learning, care, support and community outreach, especially to those children, who, because of their life circumstances, have no access to ECD provision.”
In November 2013, through further strategic planning, Lesedi reviewed and reconfirmed the relevance of its IECP, and adjusted it as necessary.
