Main Objectives of Lesedi’s IECP
- To provide an Integrated Early Childhood Care Package through a sustainable, comprehensive, community owned-and-managed intervention. (ECD Centres and Playgroups as Nodes of Early Learning, Care, Support and Community Outreach).
- To increase access to quality early education and care for young children living in difficult circumstances, especially those children who remain outside of any ECD provision and including children with special needs and disabilities.
- To support and encourage parents/caregivers in the holistic development and care of their young children.
- To promote the rights of young children in communities, and to support and encourage communities to take collective responsibility for the well-being of young children.
